Items you MUST pick up at Old Navy’s Black Friday Sale

Hi all of my lovely readers!

Can you believe that it’s already Thanksgiving? You know that also means it’s time for Black Friday!!!!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I am high-key obsessed with Old Navy and I promise that you can find me at Old Navy tomorrow night after dinner. I’ve already picked up some items during some the stores “pre-Black Friday” sales that I think you should also pick up!

From one of my favorite people (aka the Store Manager at the Waugh Chapel Old Navy), I learned that the ENTIRE store is 50%, cozy socks are $1 and they are open at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving! If you are out and about on Saturday and are looking for even more great sales at ON, pajama bottoms are going to be only $5! You just seriously can always find a win at ON.

Here are the items that I think you should pick up this Black Friday:

Sherpa Coat with faux suede lining

This jacket comes in both plus size and straight sizes. I am wearing a plus size 3x. It fits well, and can definitely fit sweaters underneath. I paired this with my favorite sweater that ON came out with this winter and my favorite ON plaid scarf from last winter. You can find  similar scarf here.

Perfect Sweater

I said that the sweater that I am wearing above is my favorite sweater that ON produced this winter, and one of the reasons is because it comes in four different color options! I purchased three out of the four. This is seriously the most comfortable sweater you will find this winter. I am wearing a straight size XXL. The jeans that I am wearing are the plus size high-rise Rockstar Jeggings. You will feel like a total babe in these! They are comfy, supportive and all around amazing.

Boho Chic Shirt and Fringe Jeans

Boho chic anything will get me every time! When I saw this shirt in store, I was a little worried that the color wouldn’t be great on me because of my blonde hair, but the minute I tried it on, I was obsessed! The pleated long sleeves and the cut make this shirt versatile — you could wear this dressed up or down! I chose to pair this shirt with my favorite ON jeans from their winter 2017 collection.

The Floral Velvet Holiday Jumpsuit + Sparkley Heels

This jumpsuit gives me L I F E!!! When I saw this online, I didn’t even look at the price before purchasing! I knew I had to grab this for my work holiday party. I am wearing a size XXL! When I was in the store last week, I also came across these heels, so I tried them on in-store…but their 10 didn’t fit me, so I purchased an 11!

I hope that you love these looks as much as I do, and I cannot wait to go to ON tomorrow evening! Let me know what you pick up from ON this Black Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Favorite Day of the Year!

nationathriftstoreday

Yes, you read that correct It is National Thrift Store Day! To any of thrifting queens and kings out there, you understand my excitement. This day can beat any of the major holidays for me. I have never told anyone why I love thrifting so much so I am going to do my Top 5 Reasons Why I LOVE Thrifting and you can also check out my top favorite thrifting finds of the year below!

TOP 5:

1) The amazing deals that you can get. As all of you know, I am a college student and as a college student, I do not have a lot of money to spend on clothes! There are great clothes that people just giveaway…hoping that you will buy them! Go when they have 50% off certain color tags, meaning that it will be 50% off of the already low prices!

2) The hunt is FUN. This is something that I have mastered. A lot of people do not like the “hunting” part of thirsting, which is why Goodwill’s across the nation have created Goodwill Boutiques, which are also near and dear to my heart! But… I love it when I am searching around the store and I can’t seem find anything worth buying that day and then all of the sudden that one piece of clothing just POPS out to you! It is seriously magical.

3) I know when I shop at a thrift store, that I am doing good for the community. An example is by shopping at Goodwill, you are helping them succeed at their mission, which is to provide work for people who may not be able to find it somewhere else!

4) You never know what you will find. There are so many odd pieces that you will find in a thrift/consignment store! There will be things in there that you did not even know existed but that is what makes it so fun! I think you can also learn a lot about history. Walking into an older thrift/consignment store and it is like walking into the past! Go in and see what you can find/learn.

5) Great for DIY. Whether you want to revamp your house or you’re moving into a new apartment, there are great deals you can find on furniture, kitchen supplies (plates and even kitchen tables/chairs!) and bedroom furniture. There is nothing a little TLC and some paint cannot fix! I always see great dining room furniture that just makes me so excited to have my first apartment!

The Summer of a Lifetime

The end of this school year was the most stressful time of my life! This semester I had six group projects. Yes, you read that correctly!

But….

This summer is going to be one for the books! I have so many plans for this summer.

As a part of of one of my classes, Global Advertising and Public Relations, I get to study abroad! This Thursday, I leave to go to Dublin and London. All semester, my amazing group and I worked on our website to compare the humor between America and Dublin/London. It was really fun!

For two weeks, I will have the opportunity to travel these two amazing cities, and visit some pretty well-known PR and Ad agencies. I am so excited!  Continue reading

New season, new Me!

I cannot believe how long it has been since I have posted a blog post. I missed you all!

I am nearing the end of my spring break. I had a fun start to my spring break! I went to Canada with my sister and best friend for the weekend, and then we drove back to Maryland for the remainder of the break. We went to Windsor, Ontario. It was absolutely adorable for a weekend.

Yesterday, I went to a new salon and had the best hair cut/color I have ever had! If you are in the Annapolis, Md. area, you must go to see Virginia at Possibilities Salon in Crofton, Md.

I went BLONDE! I love it so much. I have always wanted to go this light with my hair, but I was too nervous. I can’t imagine having any other hair color now.

I bought this adorable cup at Target! Tell me it’s not adorable!

I missed you all!
